MC Ginsberg presents the Saturday Night Free Movie Series

We are looking for dedicated committee members who would like to serve on the planning committee for the 2009 season of the Saturday Night Free Movie Series. Director/Assistant Director -- Serve as primary liaison to the Summer of the Arts Board. Work with committee members to be sure all tasks and responsibilities are being met. Develop and follow working budget for the SNFMS. Supervise each movie and event and introduce the films. Provide SotA office with information for contracts for musicians and arrange for receipt of checks and films prior to each event.

Secretary -- take notes at committee meetings, write short promotional blurbs on each movie, write descriptions of musical entertainment and/or special events for promotion. Keep track of procedures and records outlining SNFMS.

Operations Director(s) -- Review and update operations manual as needed. Confirm that all equipment is stored together and in working order prior to each film. Operations Director, or appropriately trained individual must be at each film to oversee the setup and tear down of equipment.

Musical Director(s) -- Work with committee to determine how many musical acts will be needed for the season. Work with committee to select appropriate entertainment before each movie. Confirm arrangements and attendance with each musicians 3-4 days prior to the event.

Volunteer Coordinator -- Establish guidelines for volunteer recruitment and duties to be performed. Provide release forms for volunteers and make sure they are completed and returned to the SotA office. Advise director of set-up/tear-down crews and confirm their attendance.

Short Films Director -- Develop a "call for entries" to gather potential short films. Develop a criteria for selection of short films. Review potential films and select which ones should be shown each week. Catalogue the films so they are in chronilogical order for presentation. Contact filmmaker and invite them to the showing of their film.
